This study investigates the influence of Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) services on consumer financial behaviors, particularly among young individuals. Using a descriptive quantitative research design, data were gathered through structured surveys focusing on impulse buying tendencies, budgeting strategies, expense tracking, and debt accumulation. The findings reveal moderate agreement on the tendency to overspend when using BNPL, challenges in managing repayment obligations, and increasing reliance on short-term income to meet financial commitments. Although many respondents exhibit awareness of their BNPL responsibilities, inconsistencies in budget planning and limited use of financial tools point to emerging long-term financial vulnerabilities. The study underscores the behavioral impact of BNPL platforms on consumers’ financial discipline and spending patterns. It contributes to United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth by advocating for responsible consumption and promoting enhanced financial education to foster sustainable economic practices. Future researchers are encouraged to explore the psychological factors influencing BNPL usage and to conduct longitudinal studies that assess the long-term financial impacts of BNPL services across diverse age and income groups.
