Abstract

This study assessed employee perceptions of the impact of audit practices on good governance in Dimen Shoring Incorporated – Calamba, Laguna Branch. Using a quantitative-descriptive research design, data were collected from 105 employees through a close-ended survey questionnaire and analyzed using weighted means. The findings indicated that employees strongly agreed that internal audit practices (overall weighted mean = 3.68), external audit practices (3.66), compliance audit procedures (3.67), and audit frequency and follow-up implementation (3.69) were effectively practiced and contributed to organizational improvement. Results further showed that good governance was strongly perceived in the workplace, particularly in accountability (3.75), compliance with policies and regulations (3.76), ethical management and resource utilization (3.70), and transparency (3.67). The study concluded that employees perceived auditing as a valuable mechanism that supports governance outcomes through strengthened compliance, accountability, transparency, and ethical management. Recommendations focused on improving communication of audit results, enhancing follow-up visibility, strengthening audit procedure orientation, improving decision-related transparency, and reinforcing ethical culture initiatives.
